Requirement change management by leveraging project constraints
Managing changes to the project plan, especially due to requirement changes requires strategies and mere procedures won't suffice. As each project context is unique, one needs to understand the customer's constraints, drivers and degrees of freedom and formulate project strategies along the lines of customer's degree of freedom so that it is easier for the customer to accommodate the changes to project plan. This article illustrates using three case studies, project dimension analysis, formulation of project strategies based on dimension analysis and guidelines for implementing the strategies formulated.
